Sertraline are a progressive, melodic metal band based in Leeds & Manchester, UK.
Influenced by the likes of Monuments, Periphery & Architects, Sertraline are a unique 5 piece that thrive on pushing musical boundaries.
Formed from the ashes of a hard rock band, Sertraline have spent the last five years developing and evolving their sound. The current line up came together in 2016, and now the band are known for their fierce, mesmerising performances.
2018 saw Sertraline achieve huge milestones. They graced the New Blood stage at Bloodstock Open Air, reaching hundreds of new fans and receiving rave reviews: “Today’s stand out band” – RAMzine, “A breath of fresh air” – The Revival Music, “Lizzie was a nonstop ball of energy” – Planet Mosh
2018 was also the year that Sertraline ventured into Europe; working with Anchor Agency to play venues in France, Switzerland and Italy.
To kick off the new year, their unique sound and high energy was picked up by the organisers of UK Tech Fest, which resulted in a slot at their January 2019 all-day event. This led to a slot at the main festival in July alongside the likes of Polaris, Monuments and Leprous. It's safe to say that Sertraline are claiming their place in the UK progressive/tech scene.
In March 2019, Sertraline had the pleasure of opening for Skarlett Riot on their UK tour, playing packed shows in Edinburgh, Newcastle, Manchester and London. "Sertraline blew everyone away and can proudly hold their heads up high having come to London and showed the metal world how it is done. One of the best shows of the year. 10/10"
